Egentify’s AI agent answers shopper questions on your storefront in real time. Plenty of those questions are ones your product description does not cover. Does this jacket run small? Is the blender loud? How does it hold up after a year? Your existing reviews already answer many of them. Connect a reviews provider and the agent can draw on your published customer reviews when it answers, and show star ratings on the products it recommends.

What the agent does with your reviews

Star ratings on product cards. When the agent shows products, it adds the average rating and review count to each card, for up to the first eight results. Review-backed answers. The agent can pull real review text to answer questions about fit, sizing, quality, durability, and common complaints, and to give pros and cons drawn from what buyers actually wrote. Only published and approved reviews are used, and reviews with no written text are skipped. The agent is instructed to distinguish customer opinions from your own replies and never to invent quotes or ratings.
Reviews are used in storefront chat only. They do not appear in email drafts or in voice calls.
Review answers also require Product Search to be on, under the Agent tab. The agent finds the product first, then looks up its reviews.

Verifying and re-verifying

Each card shows Connected in green once Egentify has reached the provider, or Not verified in amber if the check has not run or did not pass. An amber dot appears on the Integrations tab while anything is unverified. For providers that take credentials, save before you verify. The card tells you which state it is in.
Editing any credential clears the verified status. So does a failed re-verify, even on a connection that was working, so avoid re-verifying while your provider is having an outage. In both cases, reviews stop being used until a check passes again.

Freshness

Review text is fetched live during the conversation, so the agent always sees current reviews. Star rating summaries are cached for about ten minutes. There is no manual resync. If your provider has a brief outage, Egentify stops calling it for thirty seconds. During that window star ratings disappear from product cards and the agent says it could not load reviews rather than guessing. Nothing in Settings reflects a temporary outage, so a green Connected badge does not rule one out.
A product card with no stars does not mean the product has no reviews. It can also mean the rating was not available at that moment.

Turning a connection off

Toggling a provider off stops Egentify from using its reviews but keeps your saved credentials, so you can switch it back on without entering them again.
