Egentify’s AI agent answers shopper questions on your storefront. Connecting Reviews.io lets it answer the ones about fit, quality, and durability from your published Reviews.io reviews, and show star ratings on the products it recommends. For what the agent does with review data and how connections are verified, see the reviews overview.

Connect Reviews.io

There are no credentials to find. Egentify detects your store ID from your own storefront.
1

Turn Reviews.io on

In your Egentify dashboard, go to Store Settings > Integrations and toggle Reviews.io on.
2

Click Connect

Egentify reads your storefront and finds your store ID automatically.
3

Enter your store ID only if detection fails

In Reviews.io, go to Publishing > Public Profile and copy the value that appears after /store/ in the page address. Paste it into Store ID and click Connect again.
Only one review provider can be enabled per store. If you are moving to Reviews.io from another provider, turn the old one off before saving, or the save is rejected.

Reviews are matched by SKU

This is the most important thing to know about Reviews.io, and the most common reason coverage looks patchy. Reviews.io keys each review to the SKU on the original order line, not to a product ID. Egentify therefore matches your catalogue to your reviews by SKU, checking each of a product’s variants and combining what it finds into one weighted average.
A product with no SKU, or whose SKUs differ between your store and Reviews.io, gets no star rating and no review answers at all. If reviews appear for some products but not others, check your SKUs before anything else.

What else is specific to Reviews.io

Automatic detection needs a verified store connection. Egentify only reads storefronts it can prove you own, meaning a Shopify store connected through OAuth or a WooCommerce store connected through the plugin. If your store was set up with a manually typed URL, detection will not run and you will need to enter your store ID by hand. Detection refuses to guess. If your storefront references more than one Reviews.io store, Egentify will not pick one for you. Enter the correct ID manually. Merchant replies are included.

When something goes wrong

“Couldn’t detect your Store ID from your store.” Either your storefront does not expose one, it exposes several, or your store connection is not one Egentify can verify ownership of. Enter the ID manually. “Reviews.io did not recognize that store ID.” Copy it again from the page address in Publishing > Public Profile, taking the part directly after /store/.
Editing your store ID clears the verified status, and so does a failed re-verify. Reviews stop being used until a check passes again.
