The chat widget is how your customers interact with the AI agent on your storefront. It loads as a floating button in the corner of your store, opens into a full conversation interface, and gives customers instant access to product search, order status, cart actions, and more — all without leaving the page.

Platform installs (no code required)

If you’re running Shopify or WooCommerce, you can enable the widget without touching a single line of code.
Egentify integrates directly with the Shopify Theme Editor using App Embeds.
  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.
  2. Click Customize on your active theme.
  3. Open the App Embeds panel (the puzzle-piece icon in the left sidebar).
  4. Find Egentify Chat Widget and toggle it on.
  5. Click Save.
The widget appears on your storefront immediately. No code changes to your theme are needed.

What the widget shows

The widget gives customers a full support experience without leaving your storefront:
  • Conversational AI responses — the agent answers questions in natural language, with context from your store
  • Product cards — search results display product images, prices, stock availability, and an add-to-cart button
  • Order status and tracking — customers can look up their orders and get tracking links directly in the chat
  • Starter buttons — configurable quick-reply buttons shown when the chat first opens, so customers can jump straight to common requests

Customizing appearance

You can adjust the widget’s colors, position, welcome text, agent name, avatar, corner radius, and starter buttons from the Egentify dashboard. See Widget Customization for the full list of options and how to configure each one.
