Install the app
Find Egentify in the Shopify App Store
Search for Egentify in the Shopify App Store and click Install.
Review the requested permissions
Shopify displays the permissions Egentify requires before you confirm. The app needs read access to your products, orders, customers, and store content, plus write access to orders so your AI agent can process refunds and update shipping addresses on your behalf.
Connect your project
Initiate the connection
On the Egentify app screen inside your Shopify admin, click Connect to Egentify.
Sign in to Egentify
Sign in to your existing Egentify account or create a new one — it’s free to get started.
Enable the chat widget
Open your theme customizer
In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes and click Customize on your active theme.
Adjust position and offset (optional)
Expand the embed settings to fine-tune the widget’s position and offset values to fit your storefront’s layout.
Permissions the app uses
Egentify requests only the permissions it needs to answer customer questions and take permitted actions on your behalf.| Permission | Scope | Why Egentify needs it |
