Egentify’s AI agent answers shopper questions on your storefront. Connecting Yotpo lets it answer the ones about fit, quality, and durability from your published Yotpo reviews, and show star ratings on the products it recommends. For what the agent does with review data and how connections are verified, see the reviews overview.

What you need

Your Yotpo app key. Find it in Yotpo under Settings > General settings. The app key is public by design, since it ships in your storefront HTML, so there is no secret to store for this connection.

Connect Yotpo

1

Turn Yotpo on

In your Egentify dashboard, go to Store Settings > Integrations and toggle Yotpo on.
2

Save your app key

Paste it into App Key and save. The card reads App key is saved once it has.
3

Verify

Click Verify connection. On success the badge turns green and reads Connected.
Only one review provider can be enabled per store. If you are moving to Yotpo from another provider, turn the old one off before saving, or the save is rejected.

What is specific to Yotpo

Star ratings can lag by up to an hour. Yotpo serves its rating aggregates from a cache, so a newly published review will not move the average on your product cards immediately. Review text itself is always current. Merchant replies are included. Where you have replied to a review in Yotpo, the agent can see your reply and is instructed to distinguish it from the customer’s own words.

When something goes wrong

“Yotpo could not find that app key.” The key is wrong or belongs to a different Yotpo account. Copy it again from Settings > General settings. “Save the Yotpo app key first.” You have typed a key but not saved it. Save, then verify. “Couldn’t reach Yotpo. Try again in a moment.” A temporary outage on Yotpo’s side.
Editing your app key clears the verified status, and so does a failed re-verify. Reviews stop being used until a check passes again, so avoid re-verifying during a Yotpo outage.
