Get in touchYes, for ecommerce stores. Intercom is a polished, B2B-SaaS-focused customer messaging platform with deep workflow automation and a per-seat + per-resolution pricing model. Egentify is purpose-built for Shopify and WooCommerce stores, with flat-rate pricing, voice AI included, and a free forever plan. If you run an ecommerce store, egentify is the better economic and product fit. If you're a B2B SaaS company with a large enterprise support team, Intercom may still suit you better.
Fin is $0.99 per resolution (Intercom calls it an 'outcome'). On top of seat costs (monthly billing: Essential $29/seat, Advanced $99/seat, Expert $139/seat). So a 5-seat team on Advanced with 1,500 Fin resolutions/mo pays 5 × $99 + 1,500 × $0.99 = $495 + $1,485 = $1,980/mo. Egentify Scale is $399/mo flat for 2,000 conversations including voice AI.
Three reasons. First, per-seat pricing means Intercom charges for every agent, so cost scales with team size. Second, per-resolution AI fees stack on top of seats. Third, add-ons for Pro analytics ($99/mo), Copilot ($29/agent/mo), Proactive Support Plus ($99/mo), and SMS/WhatsApp usage all bill separately. Each can be the right choice for a large enterprise. They add up fast for ecommerce stores that just need an AI agent that handles customer questions.
Intercom has phone support as a paid usage-based add-on, but it's primarily for human agents, not an autonomous voice AI agent. Egentify includes a real voice AI agent on Growth ($149/mo, 100 minutes) and Scale ($399/mo, 500 minutes) that takes calls, looks up orders in Shopify or WooCommerce, and processes refunds.
Yes. Install egentify on your Shopify or WooCommerce store, point your support email forwarding to your egentify address, and configure your AI agent. Most teams run both side-by-side for a week, then turn off Intercom. Conversation history can be exported from Intercom's CSV export if you want to retain transcripts.
Honest answer: Intercom has industry-leading workflow automation (Workflows / Series), a much larger ecosystem of integrations, deep customer-data segmentation, and is battle-tested at enterprise scale. If you have 20+ support agents, complex routing rules, multi-product workflows, and B2B SaaS use cases, Intercom is more mature. Egentify is the better fit when you want autonomous AI on a Shopify or Woo store without per-resolution fees and per-seat scaling.
Egentify recognizes returning customers automatically (by email, account, or session) and grounds AI answers in their order history, addresses, and preferences from Shopify or WooCommerce. We don't currently have a custom-attribute / segment-builder UI like Intercom's. If your support strategy requires ICP-based segmentation, complex audience messaging, or product-led-growth playbooks, Intercom's tooling is more developed.
Yes. Same placement (bottom-right corner), same mobile behavior, similar customization. The difference is what powers the conversation. Intercom Fin reads your help center articles and resolves at $0.99 per outcome. Egentify's AI takes real action through the Shopify or WooCommerce API at no per-conversation fee.
