# Okendo Integration for Egentify

> Connect Okendo to Egentify in one click so your AI agent can answer product questions using your published Okendo reviews. Shopify stores only.

Egentify's AI agent answers shopper questions on your Shopify storefront. Connecting Okendo lets it answer the ones about fit, quality, and durability from your published Okendo reviews, and show star ratings on the products it recommends.

## Connect Okendo

There are no credentials to find. Egentify detects your Okendo account from your own storefront.

**1. Turn Okendo on**

In your Egentify dashboard, go to **Store Settings > Integrations** and toggle **Okendo** on.

**2. Click Connect**

Egentify reads your storefront and finds your Okendo account automatically. The card reads **No credentials needed** while you do this.

**3. Enter your user ID only if detection fails**

If your account cannot be detected, an **Okendo User ID** field appears. Find that value in Okendo under **Settings > Integrations** and paste it in, then click **Connect** again.

> Only one review provider can be enabled per store. If you are moving to Okendo from another provider, turn the old one off before saving, or the save is rejected.

## What is specific to Okendo

**Automatic detection reads your live storefront**, so it cannot work while your store is password protected. Either remove the password temporarily or enter your user ID by hand.

**Only the most recent reviews are reachable.** Egentify can read the first page of reviews for a product, around twenty, which is well beyond what the agent quotes in a conversation. Older reviews beyond that page do not inform its answers.

**Merchant replies are included**, and only reviews approved in Okendo are used.

## When something goes wrong

**"Couldn't detect your Okendo account from your store."** Usually a password-protected storefront, or a store that does not have the Okendo widget installed. Enter your user ID manually.

**"Okendo did not recognize that user id."** The value is wrong. It is a UUID, in the shape `00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000`. Copy it again from **Settings > Integrations** in Okendo.

> Editing your user ID clears the verified status, and so does a failed re-verify. Reviews stop being used until a check passes again.
