# Headless Storefront Support for Egentify

> Run Egentify on a headless Shopify or WooCommerce storefront, with logged-in customer recognition, cart actions, and checkout handled through your own front end.

Egentify puts an AI support agent on your storefront that looks up orders, answers product questions, and handles refunds and cancellations. If your storefront is headless, meaning a custom front end with Shopify or WooCommerce behind it, all of that still works. The chat widget installs on your own host page, and its actions run against your real cart and live orders. Phone and email support are untouched, since neither ever ran through the front end.

## What works on a headless storefront

**Logged-in customer recognition.** Egentify can tell when a shopper is signed in to your storefront and who they are, with their identity cryptographically proven rather than asserted by the browser. Recognised customers get order lookups, address changes, and cancellations without re-verifying by email.

**Cart and checkout through your own front end.** Add-to-cart and cart reads run against your storefront's real cart, not a parallel one, and checkout links come from that cart so shoppers land in the checkout you have configured.

**Product links that stay on your domain.** The agent's product cards route to your storefront's own URLs, never to the underlying platform's domain.

**Everything else the agent does** works exactly as it does on a standard storefront, including product search, reviews, order status, tickets, and escalation.

## Platform support

**Shopify** is what we support today. If you are running Hydrogen, Next.js, SvelteKit, Remix, or another custom front end against Shopify, get in touch and we will set you up.

**WooCommerce** is handled case by case. Nothing in the design is tied to Shopify, but we will want to look at your specific setup before committing to a timeline.

## Getting set up

Headless setups are configured with our help rather than self-serve. Part of the setup involves a credential we provision for your project, so there is no self-service path we could put in these docs.

Email [hello@egentify.com](mailto:hello@egentify.com) with your storefront URL and what you are building on, and we will take it from there.
